Cedarwood Atlas essential oil has many different applications. It's great to add to a base shampoo or conditioner to help revitalise greasy hair.

It can also be added to a base lotion or cream for greasy skin - its natural cleansing and balancing properties have meant its popular for use with acne or similar skin conditions.

When blended for massage it's known to be a good muscle ease and when vaporised it can relax the emotions and promote mindful thinking.

Cedarwood Atlas blends especially well with Rosewood, Bergamot, Cypress, Cassia, Jasmin, Juniper, Neroli, Clary Sage, Vetivert, Rosemary and Ylang Ylang.
Native to the Atlas Mountains of Algeria and Morocco. The Cedarwood Atlas tree grows to heights of up to 215 feet at altitudes between 1400-2300 metres. The oil is obtained from the waste wood and sawdust of the tree. There isn’t a specific harvest time for this – the trees are felled all year round.
Dilute to a maximum of 1% in a base lotion or cream to help balance oily skin types. Add a few drops to a bath to help de-stress. Add a few drops to your shampoo or conditioner to help naturally cleanse and balance oily hair. Diluted to a maximum of 1% in a carrier oil and used in massage to help ease nervous tension.

One of the first essential oils to be extracted - used by the Egyptians for embalming.

Dilute in a carrier oil before skin application. Keep away from children and out of eyes. Do not take internally or apply undiluted to the skin. For further advice on using essential oils to treat medical conditions, we recommend you seek advice from a professional.
