The strong smelling bushy plant of the Sweet Marjoram is harvested for its flowers to produce an amber, woody yet spicy aroma. Introduced by the ancient Greeks, this oil was used in their fragrances & medicines. read more

It tends well to bruises, aiding skin marks however also acts as a super fragrance ingredient. It blends wonderfully with rosemary & chamomile if you are wanting to create your own specific fragrance.

To diffuse in a traditional burner, simply fill dish with water and add a few drops of oil on top before lighting the candle. For electrical fragrancers, follow instructions given by the manual. For massage: dilute in a carrier oil and gently massage over the skin. Add a few drops to a handkerchief or inhale directly from the bottle if you are on the go. Dilute in distilled water and pour into spray bottle for an all-natural room fragrancer.

You may find that Marjoram blends especially well with lavender, cypress, cedarwood, chamomile, bergamot, eucalyptus and tea tree.

Grows principally in Mediterranean countries such as Egypt, France and Spain as well as parts of North Africa.

Dilute to a maximum of 1% in a carrier oil and use as a muscle rub after a workout or session in the garden. Add 2-3 drops to a burner to help calm the mind and allow you to settle down to get a good night's sleep.

Dilute in a carrier oil before skin application. Keep away from children and out of eyes. Do not take internally or apply undiluted to the skin. For further advice on using essential oils to treat medical conditions, we recommend you seek advice from a professional.
