Lemon Verbena is truly a relaxing oil. Try using 2-3 drops in a dispersant (eg: Amphora Bath or Shower Gel Base) in the bath.

You can use it on its own or perhaps blend it with Lavender Essential Oil.

Lemon Verbena is also useful as a 'pick me up' or mood booster. You might like to use it in one of our vaporisers after a hangover or when you're feeling emotionally or physically low. You might find it useful as a stress control agent. Lemon Verbena is believed to have a softening effect on the skin and can help to reduce puffiness (always dilute to a maximum of 1% before skin application).

To diffuse in a traditional burner, simply fill dish with water and add a few drops of oil on top before lighting the candle. For electrical fragrancers, follow instructions given by the manual. For massage: dilute in a carrier oil and gently massage over the skin. Add a few drops to a handkerchief or inhale directly from the bottle if you are on the go. Dilute in distilled water and pour into spray bottle for an all-natural room fragrancer.
You may find that Lemon Verbena blends particularly well with lemon, elemi, neroli and palmarosa.
Native to Chile, Peru, Argentina and Bolivia but now found elsewhere including Spain and other Mediterranean countries.
Dilute to a maximum of 1% in a base lotion or cream to help soothe and balance the skin. Dilute to a maximum of 1% in a carrier oil such as Sesame or Sweet Almond and enjoy a rejuvenating and detoxifying massage. Add 2-3 drops to a burner to help promote clarity of the mind and ease away tension.

Arab civilisations regarded it as an aphrodisiac.
