Bergamot (FCF) Essential Oil has a lovely, fruity aroma with a very slight balsamic undertone. It's great for use in skincare massage preparations or body lotions as it has a wide range of properties beneficial to the skin.

It's an uplifting and refreshing oil which you may also find useful during the colder weather to give you a little lift. It can also help maintain a balanced mood. Commonly used in candles and soap making, Bergamot is great to burn or vaporise to banish household smells - especially tobacco.

We've rectified the oil to remove the furcoumarins which make unrectified Bergamot oil hazardous to use before or during a spell in the sun. However, caution should still be applied before using this version of Bergamot on exposed areas of skin in the sunlight. The Italians have used Bergamot in folk medicine for centuries.

To diffuse in a traditional burner, simply fill dish with water and add a few drops of oil on top before lighting the candle. For electrical fragrancers, follow instructions given by the manual. For massage: dilute in a carrier oil and gently massage over the skin. Add a few drops to a handkerchief or inhale directly from the bottle if you are on the go. Dilute in distilled water and pour into spray bottle for an all-natural room fragrancer.
You may find that Bergamot blends especially well with black pepper, clary sage, cypress, frankincense, geranium, jasmine, mandarin, nutmeg, orange, rosemary, sandalwood, vetiver and ylang-ylang.
Originates from tropical Asia but is historically most popular in Italy where the oil is almost exclusively produced nowadays.
Dilute to a maximum of 1% and enjoy as an aromatherapy massage to lift spirits and promote a positive mood. Add a few drops to a burner to help neutralise bad odours and fill the home with a fresh and fruity fragrance. The fruit has been used in Italian folk medicine for hundreds of years. The oil was primarily used for the treatment of intestinal worms and fever. The fruit was not exported from Italy until very recently. Traditionally used as an antiseptic, deodorant, perfume, soothing agent and as a skin conditioner.

I was given the Bergamot oil as a gift along with The Juniper & Pine candle. I loved them both! The bergamot oil was lovely and fresh so I put a few drops in my diffuser every day and enjoyed the fresh aroma! Thanks Amphora!

Not easy to find this FCF version of bergamot essential oil so thank you Amphora for stocking it. It is this version that is not phototoxic so I have now included it in my moisturising face cream. It smells amazing and combined with lavender and frankincense essential oils makes a beautiful blend and natural fragrance

I love the citrusy scent. Used it to create my own anti stress blend as presents for my kids' teachers.
